IMPORTANT - READ THIS FIRST
1. Wall Tattoo & Phrase (Wall Tattoo) removable media is best suited for applications that require easy removal from smooth flat interior surfaces including painted dry walls that are smooth, clean and non-textured.
2. Always roll your Wall Tattoo NEVER fold or crease the material.
3. There are 3 layers to your packaged Tattoo backing, Tattoo and pre-mask. Think of it as an Oreo cookie with your Tattoo being the good stuff in the middle. Your Wall Tattoo will come with a white backing to protect the adhesive and a pre-mask on the front. The pre-mask on the front holds your Wall Tattoo or Phrase in place for easy installation. Removing the pre-mask is the LAST step in the installation process.
4. Wall Tattoo must be at room temperature prior to installation. Avoid excessive exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
5. Surface must be cleaned prior to applying Wall Print. DO NOT USE SOAP OR ANY HOUSEHOLD CLEANING AGENTS. Only wash surfaces with water and a CLEAN cloth. Surface must be completely dry before applying graphic.
6. For installation, you can use either a plastic squeegee or a clean, dry, unused paint roller to eliminate any air bubbles. Plastic squeegees are available for purchase from Wall Juice. NOTE: Always wrap a clean sock around the plastic squeegee to avoid abrasions on your print.
7. When installed properly, air bubbles should not occur. To remove air bubbles, begin at the center of the Wall Juice Print and push toward outside edges of the Wall Juice Print.
8. Painted walls should be allowed to dry 30 days prior to installation of Wall Prints.
INSTALLATION PROCESS
1. It is recommended that these steps are followed by 2 people for larger pieces.
2. Position your Wall Tattoo in the desired location and hold in place with masking tape.
3. If your Wall Tattoo is taller than wider, begin peeling the backing from the top. If wider than taller, begin peeling from right to left.
4. Remove approximately 2 inches of backing with scissors Do not remove the pre-mask at this time. NOTE: do not cut the tattoo peel the backing and cut off 2 inches off the BACKING ONLY.
5. Apply the first two inches to the wall. Press the pre-mask and Tattoo firmly against the wall where you have removed the backing by applying firm pressure to the front of the premask. Use squeegee or paint roller to ensure firm and even contact between the Tattoo and the wall.
6. While the first installer supports the media, the second installer uses one hand to slowly remove the backing from behind, while using squeegee or paint roller to apply the rest of the pre-mask and tattoo against the wall (Tattoo is still covered by pre-mask at this point) using a smooth back and forth motion ensuring the entire print area and pressed firmly against the wall. The backing should be removed at the same pace as the application of pressure to the front
Note: Some people find it easier to remove the entire backing after the first 2 inches has been applied. If you choose this approach instead of the steps outlined above, please ensure that you have a second person to support the media and ensure that no unwanted contact occurs between the media and the wall until it is being applied.
7. Never allow the Wall Juice print to adhere to itself. If this does happen , do not panic, gently pull the two areas apart and re-apply.
8. Once the tattoo and pre-mask have been fully applied, remove the pre-mask SLOWLY and CAREFULLY. Ensure that the tattoo stays on the wall. If the tattoo comes off the wall with the pre-mask, stop and reapply with more pressure then try again.
9. If you notice air bubbles while applying, simply lift the Tattoo and pre-mask and reapply more carefully.
10. If you notice air bubbles after application is complete apply pressure with a squeegee beginning in the middle and pressing out towards the edges. Small air bubbles will often disappear within first 24 hours.
